VI International Classical Music Festival will open tomorrow
On 27-31 August, the VI International Classical Music Festival – “The Night Serenades” will take place in Batumi Summer Theatre. The world famous Georgian and foreign musicians will take part in the Festival. 4 new kindergartens will be built in Batumi
3 new kindergartens by the end of 2014 and 1 new kindergarten in summer of 2015 will be built in Batumi. This will make possible to serve extra 1000 children in the city. Mayor of Batumi, Deputy Mayor and Chief of Improvements Service have observed ongoing construction works today
“Green Holiday” Project started from Batumi
Within the frames of the project “Green Holidays” cleaning action was held on Adlia beach today. Minister of Environment Protection of Georgia, Chairman of Ajara Government and Batumi Mayor have joint the action. After this they have observed the paintings created by children on the project topic. The project “Green holidays” will last till October 15. Aim of the project is promotion of protected areas.
International tournament in water polo started
The first game of international tournament in water polo was held in the Yacht Club bay today. The final games will be held in Batumi Plaza swimming pool. The tournament will last till August 16. Eight teams, including three foreign teams from Bulgaria, Ukraine and Armenia, participate in the tournament
Sister City Memorandum was signed between Sharm el-Sheikh and Batumi

Mayor of Batumi hosted successful pupils from Ashdod
Mayor of Batumi Giorgi Ermakov has received the successful pupils form Ashdod city today. On the initiative of State Ministry of Georgia in Diaspora Issues and Municipalities of Ashdod and Batumi, 25 successful pupils from Ashdod are in Batumi the third day already. The project is implemented within the frames of the events dedicated to Georgian – Israel friendship lasting for 26 centuries.
